Image
Staying motivated as a homemaker can be such a challenge. Because, although we may try to find something new and exciting in our everyday life, there can be moments when we feel that our mundane activities are getting so mechanical and boring as well. But do we have a choice to switch our job like any other job that we take up outside our homes? Obviously the answer is a big NO. So we need to find out ways in which we can make our mundane more beautiful. We must strive at making it so attractive for ourselves that we must look forward to waking up in the morning and getting onto these mundane yet beautiful tasks. As always, I have made 5 interesting ways to achieve this. So lets start exploring it right away. Having Coffee: Having long conversations with your husband over a cup of coffee, can make you feel so refreshed and motivated. So make yourself that time in the morning and discuss a lot of new ideas and plans with your husband and consciously keep the topics posit

5 Habits to make daily cooking easy.

Cooking for the family is the most interesting job of a homemaker. The joy of keeping everyone's preferences in mind while cooking and then receiving the appreciation for your efforts is something that mere words fail to explain. Isn't it? But all of this may seem so beautiful and wonderful on an emotional level, when you talk about it on a practical level you will be alarmed by the amount of preparations and pre planning that goes into all of this. We homemakers are ready to undergo any amount of hardships when it comes to the happiness of our families. No denial at all. But then, why not make this process a little easier so that the time we save by smart planning of this process can be invested in spending some priceless moments with our families instead of slogging in the kitchen. Right? So, out of my own experience, I have been able to condense my planning towards this into 5 easy tips or tricks as you may call it. Lets explore what they are, by cutting the suspense off.

5 Habits to keep the home clean always..

Nothing in life comes for free. Absolutely Nothing. All that we do in life, comes along with a certain amount of hard work and dedication towards the process.  When we start being sincere towards our work, we begin to realize that it is yielding so much peace of mind. Home Making is not an exception to all of this. If you want to get that peace of mind and the feeling of accomplishment at staying efficient, you need to dedicate yourself towards the process first. Hard work without smartness can be a very unsuccessful venture. As a homemaker it is very important to take care of our health, both mental and physical and still achieve the cleanliness and functionality of our homes at any given point of time. It is not at all a good idea to keep cleaning the home the entire day and staying a cleanliness freak to an extent that you stop enjoying the simplicity and naturality of life. There is a need to strike the balance where you achieve what you want for your home and at the same ti

5 Habits to be an Efficient Home Maker.

Efficiency in anything you do, comes to you, only when you learn from your mistakes. The day you feel you are perfect and there is no need to pause and think where you can improve, that is when you start limiting yourself from being a better version of yourself. As a homemaker, we learn a lot each day from our experiences and from our failures of course. We need to be our own critic at every step. The only goal for a homemaker should be to keep the home functional to each and every one at home. This can be achieved only through efficiency. I know that we put in a lot of efforts to be the best homemaker. A good wife and of course a super mom. But there can be days when we feel like we have let down everyone's expectation on us. There are times when our health does not seem to be helping us. And cutting a sorry figure for not being able to render our services is such a pain I know. The helplessness and the sense of not being able to accomplish something can be very consuming. All

Evening Routine Of A Home-Maker.

As human beings, we have immense capacity to stay energetic and accomplish all that we want in life. All of this only requires that right kind of passion to keep us motivated. Motivation comes from the desire to prove something to yourself or striving hard to be a better version of yourself at every moment. The feeling of lethargy kicks in, only when our energies run low. It is all those moments when we feel we deserve some laziness. Oh well, this is so dangerous for the productivity of a good home-maker. But we always fall into this trap of lethargy unknowingly. By evening, we start feeling that, "Alright! Fine! This is it. I have done enough for the day. I deserve some rest now". I am not saying that taking rest is a bad thing. In fact we must try to take those power nap during the day, which will keep us fresh and energetic all over again. But we must not allow the need to take rest to become an excuse to be lazy in the evenings. Every building needs a good founda

Serene Home-Making.

Home-Making is an art. It cannot be rendered merely mechanically. It needs a lot of emotions, understanding and of course a lot of serenity to realize its true meaning and significance. Any job done with passion will give you a lot of satisfaction. Home-Making is no exception in this case. When you treat the job of home making as a passion you have been looking for, you will not believe what immense satisfaction it will yield in your life. If it is done as a burden, it will obviously feel like one. I see no reason, why it is treated as a burden at times. I do not understand why we home-makers, at times, complain about the amount or volume of work during the day. I do agree that we tend to get stressed out although we are good planners. I do realize the challenges we face when things do not go exactly the way we wanted. But that is exactly when we must understand the true essence of being a home-maker. That is when we need to understand that we must not let go of the serenity of this p

Importance of having Planners as a Home-Maker.

Image
Being a Home-Maker needs more planning than any other job on earth. The job of a home-maker is not confined to a particular project that lasts for a few months or days. It is an ongoing and never ending project of a life time. And this job is more important because the routine and diet of the entire family depends on how efficiently the home maker plans all her stuff to keep her home absolutely functional.  So, the next time if anyone tries to tell you that you are just a home maker, why do you need a planner, then i guess you need to be the boss and take the situation under your command and enlighten the person who is trying to demean your job. To put it in more simpler terms, let me give you the example of everything in the universe that goes according to a certain plan. The sun comes on time. Sets on time. The seasons come and go on time. There is a certain pattern of planning behind this entire process. Imagine if anything goes even slightly against the planned schedule. We k

Weekly Meal Plan

Every thing in life needs a good amount of planning if you want to ensure zero stress and confusion. Home-Making is no exception. In fact this job requires more planning than any other job on earth! The major part of the home-making is cooking. Just imagine how important it is because in a way we home makers are responsible for maintaining the diet of the entire family through cooking. So needless to say that this job of course requires a lot of skills like planning and time management.  Imagine waking up in the morning with no planning done and heading towards the kitchen and then trying to figure out what needs to be done for the breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is so awkward and it can stress the home-maker out. It also in a way reflects how unprepared she is as a home-maker. Who wants to be in that awkward zone? So the only way out to stay away from such awkward situation is to stay well planned in advance. So, take the help of meal planning in such situations.  All you ne

How to keep your home clean.

The daily chores can be really tiresome, does not matter if you are living in a big or small home. Some home-makers hire a maid for these tasks. But that does not make their job any easy. They will have so many other things to take care, in order to keep their homes completely functional. Ladies like me, who cannot tolerate the tantrums of the maid, choose to do all the tasks on their own. Getting a perfect maid in India is a myth. Some times, hiring a maid is so exhausting in terms of finance and also monitoring their work. So, as i just mentioned, ladies like me are more than happy to sacrifice the services of maids who are nothing but headache to us finally. So, when you know that you need to run this one lady(man) show, you must have a concrete planning about how you handle and manage the tasks efficiently. You must also make sure that you do not tax your health in the process. I highly recommend in investing on some efficient appliances when it comes to cleaning of th

How To Manage Without Maid | Indian Home Maker

Someone who was a new acquaintance to me asked a very casual question the other day. She asked, "Do you work?" And i was shouting out loud inside, "No! Not Again!" Because this is one question that i hate the most. I wanted to just answer her bluntly and impolitely with all the frustration within me shouting out loud to be just vented out and say, "Yes! I do. How do you think my home runs in complete functionality, without me working towards it?" But then, my reply was : "No, I am a Home-Maker". Sadly, this is the mentality of some people in our society. If a lady opts to go out for a job and gets some financial earnings, only then it is termed as "work". Otherwise it is as good as you don't work. How fair is this kind of mentality? A lady who readily chooses to stay at home and give complete attention to everyone else's needs and build a beautiful foundation for their day is termed as someone who doesn't go to wo
